Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on behalf of a respected not-for-profit housing provider operating across North London.
This is a 3-month secondment opportunity covering a defined patch across Haringey and Enfield, focused on delivering an excellent resident experience and ensuring strong operational housing management performance.
The Role
As a Housing Officer, you will take full ownership of your schemes, ensuring residents receive a responsive, visible and high-quality service.
You will proactively engage with residents, understand drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, and take accountability for resolving issues across your patch — from estate standards to service charge queries and ASB investigations.
This is a visible, customer-facing role requiring strong communication skills, resilience and the ability to drive service improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a defined patch across Haringey & Enfield
Be visible and accessible to residents, responding to queries promptly
Conduct estate inspections to ensure high environmental and health & safety standards
Investigate and resolve ASB cases and resident complaints
Act on repairs, FRA actions, safeguarding concerns and compliance issues
Work closely with managing agents, contractors and internal teams
Set and manage service charges fairly and transparently
Monitor KPIs and contribute to performance improvement initiatives
Host community engagement events or forums where appropriateAbout You
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong customer service experience (housing experience desirable)
Demonstrates resilience, tenacity and sound problem-solving ability
Has experience managing ASB and conducting investigations
Is confident managing service charge queries and budgets
Can influence, negotiate and communicate effectively with residents and stakeholders
Is IT competent and able to meet deadlines with strong attention to detailPending legislative updates, there may be an expectation to hold or work towards a relevant professional qualification.
