Role: Independent Gender Violence Advocate

Based: Waltham Cross

Salary: £15.50ph PAYE or £20 ph UMB

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Temp for 3 months (potential extension)

Hours: 35 hours per week – 1 day from Waltham Cross and 4 days from home and out in the community if required

Our client, a well-respected domestic abuse charity is looking to recruit an IGVA for their new Mimram service the successful applicant will work with domestic abuse victim/survivors of all risk levels - including high -; stalking victim/survivors, including non-DA stalking; and sexual abuse/violence victim/survivors. The role does not require specific experience of working with sexual violence clients but does need experience and confidence supporting high risk DA/stalking clients, including attending and providing input in MARAC.

Essential requirements

Experience of working with vulnerable groups.
Experience of managing a caseload
Experience of recognising and responding to safeguarding concerns
Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact it has on victims and their children.
DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update serviceSupporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency
