We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable care organisation for an experienced Interim Service Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support within an Extra Care service.

The Role

As Service Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring care delivery is safe, effective, and aligned with best practice and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage day-to-day service delivery, ensuring consistently high standards

* Deliver outcome-focused, person-centred care aligned with best practice

* Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and local authority requirements

* Manage, support, and develop staff through supervision, appraisal, and training

* Oversee audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives

* Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders

* Support individuals to access community opportunities and promote independence

* Manage employee relations matters, including absence, performance, and investigations

* Participate in on-call duties as required

Requirements

* Proven experience in a Service Manager (or similar leadership) role within health & social care

* Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and relevant legislation

* Sound understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding practices

* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
