Key Account Manager/BDM (Forklift Batteries)
Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for a small number of OEM customer accounts in the material handling sector
Additionally target other material handling provider’s and a big focus on end user customer accounts
Provide a solutions based approach in understanding customer requirements for forklift truck batteries/motive power/motion
Form and implement a strategy to ensure customer requirements are continually met
Attend various customer site meetings across the UK
Develop an understanding of full warehouse requirements in order to understand how to best place forklift batteries through distribution & end user in order to ensure the end user benefits Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally possess experience of the material handling industry in some form, whether that is forklift trucks, batteries or other ancillary equipment. However, this is not essential and individuals with industrial/warehousing experience from another background would also be of interest. Crucially, you must have a strong aptitude both for account management and developing new business through different revenue streams. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in and around the South East, but the client are open individuals further a field.
