KS2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Bolton (BL9)
Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £100.00 - £110.00 per day

About the role:

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time KS2 Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs within a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the Bolton area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people thrive and reach their full potential in an inclusive classroom environment.

Whether you already have experience supporting students aged 11-16, including those with additional needs, or you're a recent graduate eager to gain valuable classroom experience, we would love to hear from you.

Teaching Assistant Role Overview
* Provide dedicated support to students across KS2, helping them stay engaged and confident in their learning
* Assist with a variety of classroom activities and deliver small-group interventions to boost student progress
* Support students with additional learning, SEND, or emotional needs when required
* Help maintain a calm, positive, and consistent learning environment
* Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to support student wellbeing
* Contribute to wider school activities, including exam support and general classroom duties

Experience, Training & Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a secondary school or supporting young people
* GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
* Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided)
* Prevent, behaviour management, and FGM training (can be provided)

Requirements
* Right to Work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Two professional references covering the last two years
