Learning and Development Coordinator
As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you will design, plan, and deliver a comprehensive range of training programmes to ensure our teams deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will coordinate learning and development across our residential and nursing care homes (and potentially homecare branches), predominantly in the Midlands, London and along the South coast, but, as part of the Learning and Development Team will be expected to travel to other areas to cover as and when required. As part of your responsibility you will cover mandatory training for example; Moving and Assisting, Safeguarding, First Aid, and Basic Life Support, as well as advanced subjects like the Mental Capacity Act and Dementia care. You will also support induction training in new services, develop home-based champions, and carry out supervisions to maintain training standards.
Reports to: Group Training and Academy Manager
Key duties and responsibilities
Design, plan and deliver a wide range of training courses, including but not limited to Safeguarding, Moving and Assisting, First Aid, Dementia and the Mental Capacity Act; and
Deliver high-quality training to groups of Kingsley Healthcare employees across multiple sites; and
Conduct learner assessments and ensure outcomes meet Skills for Care and CQC standards; and
Support induction training for new homes and employees, ensuring consistent delivery; and
Facilitate and lead Champion programmes, supporting home champions to achieve required standards; and
Maintain accurate training records and adapt to varying operational needs; and
Provide guidance and troubleshooting support on the e-learning system; and
Keep training content and methods current and aligned with best practices and Kingsley’s ethos.
Skills and attributes
Proven experience in delivering care-related training across varied subjects is essential; and
Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills; and
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in care (e.g. Skills for Care, CQC); and
Compassionate, empathetic, and able to engage a wide range of learners; and
Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
Flexible and able to travel between sites as required; and
Experience in designing new course content as required.
Education and qualification
L3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent recognised teaching/training qualification) is essential; and
Up-to-date knowledge and experience in delivering subjects including Safeguarding, Moving and Assisting, First Aid and Basic Life Support is essential; and
NUCO and RoSPA qualifications desirable.
