Logistics and Supply Chain Executive
Client Details
The company is a market leader, recognized for innovation, quality, and reliability. With ambitious plans to expand into global consumer electronics markets, they seek a strategic, hands-on Logistics & Supply Chain Executive to own the day to day flow of inventory and freight across the UK.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
* 3PL Relationship (Dubai): Act as the first point of contact for our Dubai 3PL; oversee SLAs, inbound/outbound accuracy, stock integrity, and issue resolution.
* Stakeholder Management (Dubai): Work directly with the MD in Dubai to capture requirements, plan operational cadence, and deliver service levels.
* Inventory Management (company owned stock): Maintain accurate inventory levels; lead cycle counts/reconciliations; own inventory reporting (weekly/monthly dashboards, variance analysis, ageing/slow movers).
* Middle East Logistics: Manage end to end air and ocean freight shipments into the Middle East, ensuring compliance with documentation, Incoterms, customs, and local regulations.
* UK Outbound (D2C & B2B): Review and propose carrier options and service levels for UK D2C (cost, transit time, delivery performance, customer experience); run RFPs and rate negotiations.
* Freight Forecasting: Build and maintain a rolling freight forecast aligned to demand, supply, and promotional activity; communicate capacity needs to forwarders and 3PLs.
* China → UK Inbound: Consolidate, plan, and book shipments from China to the UK (FCL/LCL/air); manage documentation, milestones, and exceptions.
* Airfreight Quotations & Management: Source, compare, and award airfreight quotes; monitor performance vs. quoted transit and cost; escalate delays proactively.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements across carrier mix, and documentation accuracy to reduce cost and elevate service.
