Logistics Coordinator
Salary £ 33-35k
Office based role - No Hybrid. Hours 08.00-16.00, with an hour for lunch. Holidays start at 23 days, increasing each year, to a max of 30. We do ask you to keep 3 days aside for Xmas shutdown. Bank holidays are extra. They offer a generous Workplace Pension after the probationary period.
Responsibilities
* Arranging transport with hauliers and freight forwarders for imports and exports to deadlines
* Use of internal computer systems and procedures to collate and supply all necessary logistics documentation as required by customers and 3rd party – B/Ls, LCCI Certificates of Origin, EUR1s, Certificates of Free Sale, DGNs and IATA Shipper’s Declarations.
* Liaising internally with colleagues and externally to customers and 3rd party service providers to provide professional logistics support with a strong emphasis on customer service
Requirements
* Worldwide transport experience (min 5 years) – a shipping, logistics or import & export background would be required
* Excellent knowledge and familiarity with shipping documents and Incoterms
* Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word
* Must have confident and effective verbal and communication skills and be able to work both collaboratively and independently, to meet customer and supplier deadlines.
* Essential to be able to prioritise and look at situations pragmatically to find the optimal solution.
* A high level of attention to detail is essential.
* GCSE Grade 5 and above (or equivalent) in math and English
