Apply NowWe are seeking an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to support safe, efficient operation across a busy manufacturing environment in the Leeds area. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining high levels of machine availability to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance and day-to-day repairs.
Fault-find and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, and decommissioning.
Work with contractors to deliver efficient service and repairs.
Drive improvements in machine performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Requirements:
Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or higher.
Electrical competence (PEO Level 2 minimum) and strong mechanical skills.
Experience in heavy manufacturing or steel processing.
Skilled in fault finding, reading electrical schematics, and troubleshooting.
Flexible approach with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.Desirable:
18th Edition, BTEC Level 3 / HNC or equivalent.
Experience with lasers, presses, saws, or similar machinery.
Additional qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH, IPAF, welding).
This is a Monday to Friday role, flexible for the right engineer, either permanent 6am/2pm or 7am/3pm or 2pm/10pm. There is flexibility to rotate or have a fixed shift, mornings or lates. Salary £40k+. Join a fantastic business and enhance your career
