Renowned for engineering excellence, the business supplies critical components to sectors including heavy machinery, mobile equipment, marine, offshore energy, defence, and industrial plant.
Due to continued growth, the company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve its engineering and production processes. This is a hands-on role, working closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure components are manufactured efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the introduction of new products from design through to manufacture, ensuring practical and efficient production methods
* Review engineering drawings, tolerances, and material specifications from a manufacturability perspective
* Develop and refine manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and inspection
* Provide support on CNC machining processes, tooling, and setups where required
* Ensure components meet required tolerances, performance, and quality standards
* Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve technical and process issues
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance
Candidate Profile
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in precision engineering, manufacturing, or fluid power environments. Those with strong mechanical and machining knowledge from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining and assembly
* Awareness of CNC machining principles and production methods
* Practical problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
