We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer that's investing in both its people and its site. This isn't one of those places that talks about culture while expecting you to struggle with worn-out kit and zero support.
The engineering team is valued here. Your ideas are listened to, your development is encouraged, and if you want to learn new skills or progress your career, you'll be backed to do it.
The Role
You'll be responsible for keeping production running by carrying out planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
Expect to get involved with:
Mechanical fault finding and repairs across production machinery
Planned preventative maintenance
Continuous improvement projects
Root cause analysis and permanent fixes, not just sticking plasters
Working closely with production to keep the factory performing at its best
What We're Looking For
You don't need to tick every box, but you'll probably have:
A recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
Experience working in an FMCG, food, packaging or manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
The ability to work well within a close-knit engineering team
Why Join?
A business that genuinely invests in its engineers
Excellent training and development opportunities
Clear progression routes if you want to move your career forward
Supportive engineering leadership who want you to succeed
A positive culture where people enjoy coming to work
Ongoing investment in equipment and the site
Competitive salary and benefits package
If you're looking for a role where you'll be appreciated, challenged and given the opportunity to develop, we'd love to tell you more
