Mechanical Fitter

Service Service is partnering with a manufacturing business based in Fakenham to recruit a Mechanical Fitter for their workshop team. This hands-on role involves the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.

Duties

* Assemble, fit and test mechanical components and machinery

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams

* Work with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

* Carry out maintenance, fault-finding and repairs

* Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

* Support machinery builds and occasional installation work

Requirements

* Experience in mechanical fitting or machinery assembly

* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

* Knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g. bearings, moving parts)

* Basic electrical or hydraulic knowledge would be beneficial

* Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or similar) desirable

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm), with overtime available
