Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Assembler/Fitter’s Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and fit manufacturing components to a high standard
Strip, rebuild, and fit mechanical motors
Build and install air pneumatics
Assemble and fit bearing housings
Work confidently from engineering drawings
Build special‑purpose machinery
Support the safe running of production areas, following Health & Safety requirements
Use a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment proficiently
Maintain good housekeeping and uphold high levels of quality and discipline
Follow internal processes and production expectations
Skills & Experience Required as a Mechanical Assembler/Fitter:
Previous experience in mechanical fitting or assembly roles
Strong understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical equipment
Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, or motor rebuilds
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
Engineering qualifications such as City & Guilds are advantageous
Strong awareness of Health & Safety
Good communication and organisational skills
