An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Machine Builder to join the assembly team of a specialist manufacturer of packaging automation equipment.
The role involves building and assembling bespoke machinery used within the packaging sector.
The Role
* Assemble machinery in line with engineering drawings and specifications
* Build and test mechanical assemblies
* Carry out mechanical inspection prior to final testing
* Work closely with production and engineering teams
* Ensure builds are completed within required timescales
Machines are typically individual packaging machines, although occasional full production lines may be assembled.
What They’re Looking For
* Experience building special purpose machinery
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Experience in mechanical assembly environments
* Experience with pneumatics is advantageous but not essential
Working Hours
Two options available:
Standard Days
Mon – Fri
08:00 – 16:30
OR
Compressed Week
Mon – Thurs 07:00 – 17:30 or
Tues – Fri 07:00 – 17:30
