Location: Mirfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £47,000 – £49,000 DOE
Shifts: Monday to Friday – Rotating 3 Shifts + Every Other Saturday
Hours: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am
Job Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
*
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
*
Maintain and repair mechanical equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors and drive systems.
*
Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
*
Identify recurring faults and implement improvements to increase machinery reliability.
*
Support machinery installations, modifications and continuous improvement projects.
*
Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
*
Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with health and safety procedures.
*
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Previous experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
*
Strong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown experience.
*
Experience maintaining and repairing production machinery.
*
Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes and mechanical drive systems.
*
Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
*
Relevant engineering qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
*
Flexible approach to working rotating shifts and every other Saturday
