We’re supporting a leading UK energy and engineering specialist delivering complex mechanical works within a live healthcare estate. This is a freelance opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join a critical project in Walsall, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery throughout.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of mechanical works on site, coordinating labour and subcontractors while working closely with the wider project team in a live hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage mechanical operatives and subcontractors on site
*
Coordinate daily activities to meet programme and quality requirements
*
Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and RAMS
*
Maintain strict health & safety standards in a live healthcare setting
*
Liaise with the Project Manager, site teams, and hospital stakeholders
*
Oversee quality control, snagging, and support testing & commissioning
*
Manage materials, deliveries, and site logistics
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor / Manager on construction or energy projects
*
Strong background in HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, or mechanical installations
*
Experience working in a live healthcare environment
*
Confident managing labour, subcontractors, and site activities
*
SMSTS, Managers CSCS card, and relevant mechanical qualifications
