Mobile Gas Engineer/ Plumber
The position involves 39 hours per week (8am – 5pm), across 7 days, including a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern:
Week 1 - Monday to Friday with the weekend off
Week 2 - Monday Rest Day, Tuesday to Sunday working
Week 3 - Monday to Thursday working with Fri, Sat and Sunday off
There may also be participation in an on-call rota, with additional allowance and optional overtime available.
Mobile Gas Engineer/Plumber Requirements:
* Gas Safe registered with commercial qualifications, including:
* CODNCO1 – Core Domestic to Non‑Domestic Changeover.
* CIGA1 – Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances.
* ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Gas Pipework.
* TPCP1 / TPCP1A – Testing & Purging of Commercial Gas Pipework.
* NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering (advantageous, particularly for water systems).
* Willingness to train and progress into Gas & Mechanical Authorised Person (AP) / Responsible Person (RP) duties.
* Proven experience maintaining commercial gas plant, including high‑efficiency condensing boilers, forced draught burners, direct‑fired water heaters and radiant tube heating systems.
* Strong technical knowledge of combustion control systems, ventilation interlocks, and pressure regulation.
* Legionella awareness and an understanding of water system compliance.
* Comfortable working at heights and across multiple plant environments.
