Multi Trader

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Housing Multi Trader to join our growing team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services within occupied and void social housing properties.

Working across domestic properties, you will carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure homes are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. This is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day reactive maintenance works in social housing properties

Complete multi-trade repairs

Basic plumbing (taps, sinks, WC repairs)

Carpentry (doors, locks, architraves, kitchen repairs)

Patch plastering and making good

Tiling and minor flooring repairs

Painting and decorating

Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on first visit where possible

Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations

Provide excellent customer service to tenants at all times

Accurately complete job reports and paperwork (via PDA or mobile device)

Requirements

Proven experience as a Multi Trader within social housing or domestic maintenance

Must have trade NVQ

Strong skills across multiple trades (carpentry or plumbing bias desirable)

Full UK driving licence

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
