Prospero Teaching is recruiting Pastoral Support Workers to join Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across Dorset.

These roles are ideal for individuals with experience in youth work, mentoring, safeguarding, behaviour support or those looking to move into pastoral or wellbeing roles within education.

The Role

Providing emotional, social and behavioural support to pupils
Working 1:1 and with small groups to build confidence and resilience
Supporting attendance, wellbeing and engagement in learning
De-escalating challenging situations and promoting positive behaviour
Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams and parents
Helping create a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment

Who We're Looking For

Experience in pastoral care, mentoring, youth work or similar roles
Calm, empathetic and able to build strong relationships
Confident supporting pupils with varied needs
Good communication and problem‑solving skills
DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
