PFP Supervisor
This is a full-time, permanent PAYE position offering long-term stability, progression, and the opportunity to work across a varied pipeline of passive fire projects within social housing environments.
The Role
As Passive Fire Protection Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day site operations across multiple social housing projects, ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high technical standard. The role will consist of approximately 70% fire door works and 30% fire stopping, therefore strong technical knowledge across both disciplines is essential.
This is a site-based and client-facing position supervising small teams while ensuring works are delivered in line with passive fire compliance standards. The role will require regular travel across London and Essex.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate passive fire works across multiple sites
* Oversee fire door installation and remedial programmes (majority of works)
* Supervise fire stopping works including batt & mastic, penetrations and compartmentation
* Read and interpret fire strategy drawings and technical specifications
* Conduct surveys and quality inspections to ensure compliance
* Supervise small teams of installers on social housing projects
* Ensure works are completed in line with FIRAS, BM TRADA and IFC standards
* Maintain high levels of Health & Safety compliance
* Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and residents
* Ensure all works are correctly recorded, signed off and compliant
Requirements
* Minimum 4 years’ experience within passive fire protection
* Strong experience with both fire doors and fire stopping
* Trade background within construction or passive fire
* Experience supervising small teams on site
* Ability to read and understand fire drawings and specifications
* Strong technical knowledge of passive fire compliance standards
* Knowledge of BM TRADA, IFC and FIRAS accreditation schemes
* FIRAS / BM TRADA / IFC accreditation highly desirable
* Relevant passive fire qualifications or diplomas preferred
* CSCS Card
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Must be willing and able to travel regularly across London and Essex
* Experience working within social housing environments
