Plumber
They are looking for an enthusiastic Plumber to join their team working across the University of Southampton’s residential halls and estates. This is a permanent role, ideal for someone looking to advance their career and gain hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out domestic and commercial plumbing repairs in occupied student accommodation, buildings, and empty rooms.
* Tasks include: fitting sanitary ware, first and second fixing, pipework, servicing PPM, and working on unvented systems.
* Diagnose and rectify faults across plumbing and related trades.
* Maintain high-quality workmanship, efficiency, and adherence to Health & Safety procedures.
* Respond to emergencies and participate in call-out rota as required.
* Assist other contracts and trades within the company as directed.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Professional and courteous when dealing with residents and university representatives.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage workload efficiently.
* Team player who shares good practices and learns from experience.
* Practical understanding of health and safety and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
* 2–5 years’ experience in building maintenance or education environments.
* Basic DBS check required before starting
