We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join a facilities maintenance team within a secure environment.
This is a varied and rewarding role combining planned preventative maintenance (PPM) with reactive repairs. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and continuous operation of plumbing and water systems across the site.
🔧 The Role
Duties will include:
*
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plumbing systems and equipment
*
Responding promptly to reactive maintenance issues and breakdowns
*
Maintenance and repair of domestic water systems (hot & cold)
*
Maintenance of pipework, valves, and sanitary systems
*
Repairing leaks, blockages, and general plumbing faults
*
Maintenance of toilets, sinks, showers, and drainage systems
*
Monitoring and maintaining water hygiene standards
*
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
*
Completing all required documentation and reporting accurately
*
Working safely at all times within a secure environment
✅ Requirements
*
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
*
Proven experience in planned and reactive maintenance
*
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Good communication skills
*
Must be eligible for enhanced security clearance
Experience within high-security environments such as custodial, MOD, or healthcare settings is advantageous but not essential.
