Quantum Scholars are looking for caring, reliable and experienced Primary Tutors to support primary-aged children across Somerset.

We work with children and young people who may be educated other than at school, awaiting a suitable placement, or in need of additional personalised support. Working professionally with parents/carers and relevant professionals

Keeping brief records of session content, attendance, engagement and progress

We are looking for tutors who have:

Experience working with primary-aged children

A patient, nurturing and flexible approach

The ability to plan engaging, child-centred learning activities

Strong communication and organisational skills

A clear commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for children

Qualified Teacher Status would be highly desirable, particularly for referrals requiring a qualified teacher. We would also welcome applications from experienced tutors or education professionals with strong primary experience.

Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate and be able to provide suitable references.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support to children who need a flexible, understanding and engaging approach to learning.
