Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Water

Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester or London (Hybrid)

Are you a Chartered Mechanical Engineer looking to lead major water infrastructure projects with one of the UK's leading engineering consultancies?

Advance TRS are supporting a global consultancy who are looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer. They are expanding their Water team and are delivering high-profile AMP8 and long-term AMP9 programmes across the UK. The Role

As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll lead the technical delivery of complex water and wastewater projects, working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, innovative solutions for major UK water clients.

You'll be responsible for:

Leading mechanical design on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects
Acting as Design Lead on multidisciplinary engineering projects
Developing innovative, cost-effective technical solutions
Building strong relationships with clients and delivery partners
Mentoring and developing junior engineers
Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality, safety and environmental standardsAbout You

You'll ideally have:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
Chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IET, CIWEM or equivalent)
Strong experience delivering mechanical design within the water sector
Experience working on design & build projects using digital design tools
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Experience delivering projects from feasibility through to detailed designWhat's on Offer?
