About the Role

Reporting to the Compliance & QA Manager you will work closely with retailers, third party testing houses, internal teams, and factories to manage testing programmes, certification processes, REACH documentation, sustainability compliance, and retailer portal workflows.

Responsibilities: -

Product Testing & Certification - Manage base testing, bulk testing, and production testing for key retail partners. Conduct spot checks against shared files, verifying order vs. certificate alignment. Maintain accurate and timely records of all testing activity. Oversee specialised testing programmes such as: Bean chair UK batch testing Biannual children’s furniture testing. Flammability batch testing and certification.

Retailer Portal & Customer Requirements - Manage data submission and product information across retailer portals. Meet all retailer driven deadlines and track performance against target dates. Coordinate customer requested testing requirements and workflows.

Retailer Workbooks & Documentation - Complete retailer workbooks and trackers accurately and ahead of shipment dates. Record any delays to shipments caused by incomplete documentation.

Gold Seal (GS) Samples Management - Manage Gold Seal sample submissions. Track pass/fail rates and maintain performance reporting.

REACH & Compliance - Update and distribute REACH compliance documentation to all factories at required intervals. Manage batch specific REACH documentation for all retail orders.

General Product Safety & Risk Assessments -Conduct GPSR risk assessments across the full product portfolio. Ensure all assessments meet deadlines and regulatory standards.

Sustainability – BCI -Track and chase BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) credits/BCCU’s. Use a Mass Balance approach to issue BCCU credits. Submit required evidence to all retail partners

Cross Functional Meetings & Communication -Engagement in weekly retailer meetings with the sales team. Support internal communication around testing status, risks, and compliance issues.

Skills & Experience

Strong organisational and administrative skills

High attention to detail

Ability to work to strict deadlines across multiple projects

Confident communicator with internal teams, suppliers, and retailers

Proficient in Excel and shared-file environments

Desirable:

Experience in product testing, quality compliance, or retail/consumer goods

Understanding of REACH, GPSR, or other compliance frameworks

Experience dealing with third-party testing labs (Intertek, SGS, etc.)
