Holt Engineering is recruiting for a Production Line Operator to join a well-established and growing automotive operation in Poole.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for cars and who is mechanically minded
Rather than traditional servicing and repairs, you'll use your mechanical knowledge to safely dismantle vehicles and remove valuable automotive components for reuse and recycling.
You'll be working hands-on with a wide variety of vehicles, using hand and power tools to remove everything from doors and interior components through to suspension and powertrain parts.

Key Responsibilities

Safely dismantle end-of-life vehicles
Identify and remove quality automotive parts for reuse
Remove mechanical and electrical vehicle components
Dismantle and remove doors, windows and glazing
Remove interior and exterior vehicle components
Remove suspension and powertrain components
Remove dashboards and associated parts
Use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively
Extract and separate recyclable materials
Sort waste materials into the correct recycling streams
Follow quality, safety and environmental procedures
Work efficiently to achieve daily production targets
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
Work closely with colleagues to keep the production line running effectivelyWhat We're Looking For

Previous hands-on mechanical or vehicle experience
Good knowledge of vehicle components and how they fit together
Confidence using hand and power tools
The ability to dismantle mechanical components safely
Good problem-solving skills
Strong attention to health and safety
A reliable and professional approach to work
Good attendance and timekeeping
The ability to work effectively as part of a teamPrevious vehicle dismantling experience would be beneficial, but isn't essential if you have the right mechanical knowledge and practical skills.

There are also opportunities to progress into Senior positions, based on consistent performance, reliability, attendance, work standards and a strong commitment to health and safety.
