We are recruiting for a Production Operative to support a sterile production team at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Worthing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small team and is comfortable working in both pharmaceutical preparation areas and cleanroom environments. Some heavy lifting is required, so candidates must be confident with manual handling tasks.

As a Production Operative you will play a vital part in ensuring all equipment, components, and materials are sterilised and prepared for production. Part of the role involves moving goods between buildings using the company van, therefore a clean driving licence is essential.

You must also be comfortable being fully gowned and working in Grade A, B and C cleanrooms for part of the shift.

As a Production Operative, your key responsibilities will include:

* Completing work requests to meet production demand

* Operating machinery to sterilise and sanitise equipment

* Managing consumable stock levels across production areas

* Ensuring all activities are completed to GMP standards

* Supporting the cleaning and disinfection of Grade A/B/C areas

* Unloading cleanroom machinery and preparing materials for use

Requirements for the Production Operative:

* Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment wearing full PPE

* Ability to perform some heavy lifting

* Strong communication skills and a team‑focused mindset

* Ability to follow GMP processes and documentation

* Clean UK driving licence (required)

The Production Operative is a full‑time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm to begin with. From June 2026, you will move onto a rotating shift pattern: Week 1 (6am–2pm) and Week 2 (2pm–10pm). Once on the rotating shifts, you will receive a 15% shift allowance paid monthly, taking your salary up to £30,165.
