We are currently recruiting in the Accrington area for a well-established company who are looking for a Production Supervisor on a permanent basis. Please see below duties and responsibilities.

To lead and support the production team, ensuring a safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing operation that consistently meets production schedules and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, motivate and develop the production team to achieve departmental targets.

* Ensure safe systems of work are followed in line with Health & Safety legislation.

* Maintain high standards of product quality and ensure customer requirements are met.

* Monitor departmental KPIs and drive improvements in productivity, quality and efficiency.

* Lead daily SQCDPE meetings and communicate priorities and performance to the team.

* Identify training and development needs and ensure employees are trained to the required standards.

* Support recruitment, appraisals, performance management and employee relations processes.

* Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement across the department.

* Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement and Resource Planning teams.

* Ensure production output meets agreed schedules and standards.

About You

* Previous experience supervising people, processes and products in a manufacturing environment.

* Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.

* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

* Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.

* Ability to work collaboratively across different departments.

* Good understanding of modern upholstery techniques.

Qualifications

* GCSE/O Level or equivalent.

* NVQ Level 2/3 or ILM Level 2/3 desirable.

* Relevant manufacturing or supervisory experience will be considered.
