Project Manager
Our business delivers first and second fix carpentry and bespoke joinery installations across hospitality, commercial, and high end residential projects for Tier 1 contractors, with joinery packages typically ranging from £500k to £7m. Projects are predominantly based in Central London, the surrounding boroughs, and the Home Counties (Surrey, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex).
Overview
This role requires the candidate to be commercially aware, client-facing professional who can manage programmes, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage high end joinery and bespoke interior fit out projects from pre construction through to installation and handover.
• Maintain detailed project programmes, ensuring timelines and milestones are achieved.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, and specialist trades.
• Coordinate technical, design, manufacturing, and installation teams for seamless delivery.
• Work with the commercial lead in the control of budgets, variations, procurement, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure quality standards, material specifications, and installation requirements are met.
• Resolve on site issues, manage snagging, and maintain strong client relationships.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience managing complex, high end joinery or interior fit out projects.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Proven experience delivering bespoke and detailed joinery packages.
• Excellent knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong programme management skills, including setting up and managing project timelines.
• Ability to develop and coach team members, encouraging growth and providing constructive feedback.
• Experience working with Tier 1 clients, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
• Solid technical construction knowledge, including interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of compliance and safety standards.
• Proven track record of delivering projects to programme.
• Commercial awareness and confidence managing packages.
• Competent with digital reporting tools and snagging software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Qualifications
• Valid SMSTS Certificate
• CSCS Gold or Black Card
Desirable
• NVQ Level 6 -7, diploma in Building Construction or similar
• Qualified or working towards CIOB Grade
• Experience with Asta PowerPoint Programmes
• Valid First Aid at Work Certificate
