A nationally recognised property consultancy is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join its London cost management team. The position offers the opportunity to deliver a broad mix of commercial, residential, industrial, education, and refurbishment projects while working alongside experienced professionals across a wider multidisciplinary business.

The appointed Project Quantity Surveyor will manage commissions through both pre- and post-contract stages, acting as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders. You will be responsible for maintaining cost control, coordinating procurement activity, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring each project is delivered with clear and accurate commercial reporting.

This opportunity would suit a capable Project Quantity Surveyor who is ready to manage projects with greater independence, develop stronger client relationships, and continue progressing towards a senior-level position within a supportive consultancy environment.

Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

Delivering cost management services across projects from inception to completion

Preparing feasibility estimates, budgets, and detailed cost plans

Producing tender documentation and evaluating contractor submissions

Advising clients on procurement routes, contracts, and commercial strategy

Managing interim valuations, variations, cost reporting, and final accounts

Attending client meetings, design reviews, and site inspections

Coordinating effectively with contractors, consultants, and internal property teams

Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

Relevant experience within a UK consultancy or cost management environment

Confident delivering both pre- and post-contract duties

Good understanding of JCT contracts and standard procurement methods

Strong commercial awareness with clear written and verbal communication skills

Able to manage projects independently while contributing to a wider team

MRICS qualified or actively progressing through the APC would be beneficial

In Return:

£55,000-£65,000 per annum
