Pump Engineer Overview:
Our client is an established specialist in pump systems and water management, providing installation, maintenance and repair services across London and the Home Counties.
Due to continued demand and a growing workload, they are looking to expand their engineering team with an additional Pump Engineer.
Pump Engineer Role and Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain and repair cold water booster sets and pressurisation units.
* Work on submersible foul water and stormwater pumps.
* Carry out electrical works associated with pump systems.
* Work with cold water storage tanks.
* Undertake work involving sewage systems and confined spaces.
* Safely operate winches and associated equipment.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and installations.
* Ensure safe working areas are maintained for engineers, customers and the general public.
* Complete job reports and updates using the company’s mobile job management app.
* Participate in the on call rota, responding to emergency call outs as required.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant health and safety procedures.
Pump Engineer Skills and Experience Required:
* Previous experience as a Pump Engineer
* Practical experience working with cold water booster sets and pressurisation units.
* Knowledge of foul water, sewage and stormwater pumping systems.
* Experience carrying out pump installations, maintenance and repairs.
* Electrical fault-finding skills relating to pump equipment.
* Experience working with cold water storage tanks.
* Confined space experience and relevant training would be advantageous.
* Familiarity with safe systems of work, risk assessments and site safety.
* A professional approach, with good customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage workloads and respond to call-outs.
