We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control & Cost Analyst to ensure product consistency while meticulously evaluating costs to enhance profitability and efficiency. The successful candidate will perform quality checks throughout the production cycle (incoming materials, in-process, finished goods) while simultaneously tracking expenses, preparing variance analyses, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Control & Assurance (Manufacturing/Product Focus)

* Perform raw material inspections, first-off, in-process, and final inspection of finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and legal regulations.

* Utilize measuring tools (CMM, gauges, visual inspection) to ensure parts are within standard variances.

* Document, track, and report inspection results; maintain non-conforming reports with root cause analysis.

* Collaborate with production personnel to rectify defects and stop production if necessary to prevent further wastage.

* Audit existing work processes to maintain QC standards.

2. Cost Analysis & Financial Control

* Collect and validate data on labor, material, and overhead costs to develop cost models.

* Compare actual costs against budgeted/standard costs, investigating variances and recommending corrective actions.

* Identify cost-saving opportunities through the analysis of manufacturing operations.

* Review inventory levels, usage, and valuation to identify obsolete inventory parts.

* Prepare regular cost reports (monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc) to present to management.

3. Process Improvement & Collaboration

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and reduce unit costs.

* Collaborate with Procurement to ensure material costs are accurate and with Operations to improve production efficiency.

* Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on findings.

Requirements and Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.

* Experience: 2–5 years of experience in quality control, cost accounting, or financial analysis.

* Technical Skills: Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, modelling) and proficiency with ERP/Manufacturing software.

* Analytical Abilities: Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to identify patterns and variances.

* Attributes: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Skills

* Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.

* Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.

* Experience with CAD or CMM inspection machinery.
