A well-established construction contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Bristol. The business delivers projects across multiple sectors and is known for its practical, client-focused approach and strong delivery standards.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from pre-contract through to final account, working closely with site teams and clients to ensure excellent commercial outcomes.
The Role
*
Commercial management of projects from tender stage to final account
*
Preparation and control of budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
*
Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
*
Valuations, variations, and change control
*
Contract administration and commercial reporting
*
Working closely with site teams to manage risk and cost
*
Supporting dispute avoidance and final account settlement
About You
*
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
*
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering
*
Knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT and/or NEC)
*
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
*
Good IT skills, including Excel and commercial software
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Full UK driving licence
