Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all financial and contractual administration of projects, ensuring maximum entitlement and profitability.
* Support tender preparation, cost analysis, and pre-contract activities.
* Oversee project delivery, ensuring bid strategies and profit plans are understood and achieved.
* Prepare and negotiate subcontract packages, orders, interim valuations, and final accounts.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of valuations, forecasts, and cash flow.
* Monitor costs, margins, and risks, raising early warnings where necessary.
* Provide contractual advice and support dispute resolution when required.
* Lead on procurement strategies in collaboration with operations and procurement teams.
* Support junior surveyors, conducting performance reviews where appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience:
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying.
* Professional membership preferable (e.g. RICS).
* Established background in commercial roles, preferably in gas pipelines or heavy civils.
* NEC3 / 4 experience
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and data analysis skills.
* Valid driving licence
