Quantity Surveyor
Location: London, West Malling, Sittingbourne (multi-site)
Overview
We are working with a growing contractor to recruit a capable and motivated Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial function across multiple live sites. This role will report directly to the Commercial Lead and will focus on the day-to-day commercial management of projects, with particular responsibility for procurement and payments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a QS looking to develop their commercial skillset within a supportive environment, gaining exposure to broader commercial reporting and business operations over time.
Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement processes across 3–4 concurrent sites

Prepare, issue and evaluate subcontractor enquiries and packages
*
Administer subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations and final accounts
*
Manage and process payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
*
Maintain cost tracking and assist with financial control of projects
*
Support the Commercial Lead with reporting and forecasting as required
*
Liaise with site teams to ensure commercial activities align with project delivery
*
Utilise Excel and Construction Manager (Eque2) for reporting and cost management

Predominantly office-based, with oversight of multiple project sites

Hands-on role focused on the day-to-day commercial operations

Requirements
*
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS role
*
Strong understanding of procurement and subcontractor management
*
Competent in Excel; experience with Eque2 (Construction Manager) advantageous
*
Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
