The Opportunity
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading UK engineering and building services contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering complex mechanical and electrical projects across sectors including healthcare, commercial, education, and infrastructure.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will play a key role in ensuring financial efficiency, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage project costs, budgets, and forecasts
* Prepare tenders, cost plans, and procurement strategies
* Administer subcontractor packages, including valuations and payments
* Manage variations, change control, and final accounts
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks
* Produce accurate financial reports and project updates
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E / building services
* Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Degree-qualified or equivalent (preferred)
