Apply NowEvoke staffing are recruiting for an experienced Reach Truck driver for our client based in Droylsden. The role is ongoing Mon-Fri 07.30am-16.30pm.
The role is based in a cold store environment with the temp being as low as -20c. PPE will be provided.
Job Overview
Responsibilities
* Safely operate reach trucks to pick, place, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse
* Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
* Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
* Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying shipments against documentation
* Handle materials with precision, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety standards
* Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and workflow processes
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to promote a safe working environment
Requirements
* Proven experience operating reach trucks or similar forklift equipment in a warehouse setting
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control
* Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment troubleshooting and repairs
* Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and precise placement of goods
* Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
* Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols
* Excellent attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork orientation
