Registered Children Home Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Children Home Manager to lead and develop a new children’s residential home. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who has experience establishing and managing high-quality residential care services for children and young people.

As a Registered Children Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring that the service operates in line with Ofsted regulations and provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for the young people in our care.

The successful Registered Children Home Manager will play a key role in the opening and development of the service, including preparing the home for registration, recruiting and developing staff, and implementing robust care practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the opening and registration of a new children’s residential home.

*

Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant legislation.

*

Manage and support the staff team, promoting a positive and professional working environment.

*

Develop and maintain high-quality care plans tailored to the needs of the young people.

*

Maintain effective safeguarding practices and ensure the wellbeing of all residents.

*

Work closely with external professionals, local authorities, and stakeholders.

Requirements

*

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) – essential.

*

Previous experience as a Registered Children Home Manager – essential.

*

Proven experience opening and registering a new children’s home – essential.

*

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

*

In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care standards.
