Registered Manager Children's Home
Location: Maidstone
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We’re supporting a children’s care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for a residential home in Maidstone.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Registered Manager with a strong track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings, looking to join a supportive organisation and play a key role in the ongoing development of a high-quality service.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring young people receive high standards of care within a safe, nurturing and structured environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
* Ensuring young people receive high-quality emotional and physical care
* Creating a positive environment with appropriate activities and a comfortable living space
* Building, leading and developing a high-performing staff team
* Providing induction, supervision and appraisals to support staff development
* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and all regulatory requirements
* Overseeing care planning, risk management and outcomes for young people
* Managing budgets, administration and overall service performance
* Promoting a culture of teamwork, transparency and continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate
We’re keen to speak with experienced Registered Managers who can demonstrate strong leadership and a commitment to high standards.
You will have:
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
* A track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
* Excellent leadership, communication and team development skills
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
* A minimum Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare
* A commitment to ongoing professional development
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references
