Chapman Tate Associates are proud to be partnering with a large, well-established manufacturing organisation based in Birmingham, who are looking to expand their internal development team with an experienced RPG Developer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in its technology landscape while maintaining a strong, stable presence in the manufacturing sector.
As an RPG Developer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and enhancing core business systems, working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
You’ll be involved in:
* Developing and maintaining RPG (RPG III / IV / ILE) applications
* Supporting and improving IBM i (AS/400) systems
* Working on system integrations and modernisation projects
* Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the business
✅ What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as an RPG Developer (RPG III / IV / ILE)
* Strong experience with IBM i / AS400 environments
* Solid understanding of legacy systems and modernisation approaches
* Ability to work onsite in Birmingham, 5 days per week
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
