We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join an SEN school in Enfield on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to move from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.
Role Overview
As a Science Teacher in this SEN setting, you will deliver engaging and accessible science lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs. You will inspire curiosity across biology, chemistry, and physics while adapting your teaching approach to support a range of learning abilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is patient, flexible, and passionate about making science meaningful for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated science lessons suitable for SEN learners
Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
Inspire curiosity and encourage scientific exploration in a supportive environment
Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with SEN requirements
Work collaboratively with SEN staff, therapists, and other teaching colleagues
Support students with exam preparation where appropriate
Requirements
QTS or QTLS certification
PGCE or equivalent qualification
Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science
Experience working with SEN (preferred but not essential)
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
