About the Role
Prospero Teaching is urgently seeking a skilled and dedicated Secondary GCSE Tutor to provide 1:1 support to students in South Manchester. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and can offer tailored lessons to help students succeed in their GCSEs. The role is an ASAP start and the work is around 20 hours per week during school hours.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised GCSE tutoring sessions in subjects such as Maths, English, or Science (depending on your specialism).
Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students, helping them build confidence and enhance their exam skills.
Provide a structured and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth.
Track progress and provide regular updates and feedback to parents/carers or relevant professionals.
Assist students with revision techniques, exam strategies, and overcoming any learning barriers.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching GCSE-level students.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
Strong ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part-time schedule.
Desirable Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Education.
Specialisation in GCSE Maths, English, or Science (or other subjects if applicable).
Additional Information
This role is part-time, with an expected 20 hours per week, mainly during school hours.
Immediate start required.
Prospero Teaching will provide ongoing support, including resources and regular monitoring of student progress.
