Long Term Futures are recruiting Secondary Teachers across all subject specialisms for a range of mainstream secondary schools in Islington for April 2026 and September 2026 starts.
We are seeking qualified teachers across subjects including English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, PE, Computing, Creative Arts and more, to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with KS5 opportunities available in some schools.
These roles are ideal for both experienced teachers and strong ECTs looking to secure a role within a supportive and well-established secondary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons within your subject specialism
Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where applicable)
Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Assess, monitor and track student progress
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
Support student attainment, behaviour and wellbeingIdeal Candidate Will Have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
Experience teaching in a mainstream secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge within your specialism
Excellent classroom management skills
Commitment to high standards and student outcomes
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)Location & Transport - Islington, North London
Accessible via Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line & Overground)
Close to Angel (Northern Line)
Excellent bus routes including: 4, 19, 30, 43, 271, 341
