We are currently recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure project based in Hindley.
The project will involve significant civil engineering and railway infrastructure works, with a key focus on the replacement and installation of footbridges, alongside associated structural and civils packages.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing the replacement and installation of new footbridges.
* Managing and supervising day-to-day engineering activities on site.
* Setting out works and ensuring construction is delivered in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
* Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
* Managing quality assurance, inspections and site documentation.
* Monitoring progress against programme and identifying any engineering issues.
* Ensuring all works comply with relevant health, safety and railway standards.
* Working closely with the wider project and engineering teams to deliver the works.
Essential requirements:
* Valid and in-date PTS (Personal Track Safety).
* Previous experience as a Section Engineer within rail, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Experience with structural works, bridge installations or replacements would be advantageous.
* Strong setting-out and technical engineering knowledge.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
