EmpowerED are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and nurturing SEN school in Berkshire, seeking an experienced and qualified SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team as they open a new provision to support pupils with complex and behavioral needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEN Teacher who thrives in supporting pupils with complex needs and is confident working within a specialist or highly supportive environment.
🧩 The Role
As a SEN teacher you will be responsible for leading a small class of pupils with complex SEN, delivering engaging, highly differentiated learning that supports both academic and developmental progress. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver lessons, with allocated PPA time provided.
✅ The school is looking for someone who has:

Extensive experience supporting children with complex SEND needs as a SEN teacher in a provision
*
Strong knowledge and practical use of communication systems (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC)
*
Experience delivering continuous provision approaches
*
Confidence supporting pupils who may present with behaviour that challenges
*
A calm, nurturing and highly adaptable teaching style
*
Ideally worked within a specialist or specialist-resourced setting or as an SEN Teacher
*
QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
