Long Term Futures are recruiting for a patient, calm and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who can passionately provide 1:1 Support for a Year 3 Student with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Behavioural Needs for a welcoming and caring school based in Frankley, Birmingham, accessible from Birmingham City Centre.
This position is a long-term role with an opportunity to be temp-to-perm. The provision is looking for a proactive, accommodating and positive person who is looking to excel and become a crucial part of their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 to support for a student with ASD and Behavioural Needs
Encouraging focus, confidence and positivity
Advise and support in creating a calm learning environment
Building a trustworthy and safe space
Reinforcing learning by assisting with a range of subjects
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience working with young people in an educational environment
A background in working with SEN students/young people
A strong understanding of ASD and Behavioural Needs
A co-operative and positive attitude
