TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEN school in Wolverhampton that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for primary-aged pupils with a range of complex additional needs. The school is committed to delivering personalised support, encouraging independence and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive both academically and socially.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with the opportunity to secure a permanent position. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support primary-aged pupils with a range of needs including SEMH, Autism (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities while promoting communication, independence and emotional wellbeing.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD, SEMH and SLD
Ideally qualified to level 3 in teaching and learning
Experience working with primary-aged pupils within an SEN or specialist setting
A patient, caring and adaptable approach
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Must have a valid DBS on the update service
