Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking to support secondary-aged students with complex special educational needs?
We are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist setting in Stockport, supporting secondary-age pupils with a range of complex needs.
This role is initially offered through an agency, with potential for longer-term opportunities for the right candidate.
The Role:
Supporting students with complex SEND needs
Working 1:1 and in small groups
Assisting with differentiated and personalised learning programmes
Supporting communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs
Providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene support where required
Encouraging independence, dignity and confidence
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience working with secondary-aged students with complex needs
Comfortable and experienced in providing personal care
Calm, patient and resilient
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Experience within a specialist SEN school or alternative provision is highly desirable
Relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent) is advantageous
