As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Reading, you'll work alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to provide personalised support that enables every pupil to reach their full potential.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with PMLD, complex learning needs and physical disabilities throughout the school day.
* Assist with communication, sensory activities and personalised learning programmes.
* Support pupils with mobility, personal care and medical needs where required (full training provided if needed).
* Encourage engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists and families to deliver outstanding, child-centred support.
* Celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small.
The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Care Worker, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant.
* Experience supporting children or adults with PMLD, complex needs, autism, physical disabilities or additional learning needs.
* A caring, patient and proactive approach.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A genuine passion for supporting children with the most complex needs.
