Start Date: Immediate (interviews taking place ASAP)
Contract: Until July with strong potential to continue into September

Rising Hope Education are working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in East London who are urgently seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a Year 6 pupil.

This is a time-sensitive opportunity for a confident and experienced practitioner to step into a role where consistency, resilience and a calm approach are essential. The school is looking to meet candidates immediately, with interviews available as early as tomorrow.

The Role

You will be working one-to-one with a Year 6 pupil with Autism, ADHD and additional behavioural needs. Recent assessments have identified an intellectual disability, and the school is putting the right support in place to ensure the pupil can access learning in a structured, safe and supportive way.

Your role will focus on building trust, providing clear boundaries and supporting the pupil both academically and emotionally in the lead-up to the end of the academic year.

You will be:

Providing consistent one-to-one support throughout the school day
Supporting behaviour regulation with a calm and structured approach
Adapting learning to meet the pupil’s individual needs
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
Creating a safe, supportive environment where the pupil can engage and progress

What We Are Looking For

Strong experience supporting pupils with Autism and ADHD
Confidence managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries
Experience supporting children with additional learning needs, including intellectual disabilities
A resilient, patient and proactive mindset
A genuine passion for SEND and making a lasting impact

Why This Role Stands Out

This is an immediate, high-impact role where you can make a real difference between now and July. Beyond that, the school is keen to retain strong staff, meaning there are genuine opportunities to continue into the new academic year and potentially secure a permanent position.

This role will be filled quickly and the advert will be taken down as soon as the right candidate is secured, so early application is strongly encouraged.

Rising Hope Education are a SEND and inclusion specialist agency working with hundreds of schools across East London. If this role isn’t quite right but you are looking for something specific, we encourage you to get in touch to discuss other opportunities.
